This conversation between New York Knicks fans and Mitchell Robinson might be one that never fully concludes. Now in his eighth straight season in a Knicks uniform, Robinson once again finds himself at the center of debate — is his role still worth the risk given his ongoing injuries?
The start of the 2025–26 regular season has already thrown a wrench into New York’s plans. Robinson was an active participant during preseason play but sat out nearly three weeks before finally returning to the court. He made his season debut on Halloween night against the Chicago Bulls and made an immediate impact, grabbing 11 rebounds while adding four points and two blocks. Two nights later, he posted five rebounds and two blocks in just 13 minutes before exiting with an ankle injury.
For Knicks fans, it’s starting to feel like Groundhog Day — constantly reliving the same cycle of highs and lows that come with Robinson’s presence on the roster. When he’s healthy, it feels like he never missed a step. But when he’s sidelined, the team looks noticeably different — less dominant on the glass, and missing the interior presence he provides.
So we’ll pose the question to you, the fans: what should the Knicks do with Mitchell Robinson?
