The Knicks won back-to-back games against the Hawks and Nets. They stepped up their defensive intensity and fought for both victories.
First, the Knicks beat the Atlanta Hawks 119-110 in a physical battle, with New York picking up the pace in the second half.
New York’s offensive approach involved picking on Trae Young. They attacked him regardless of who he guarded, and Mikal Bridges torched him especially. The Knicks were equally aggressive at the other end, forcing 23 turnovers, including nine from Young.
The Knicks showed fatigue against Brooklyn in a game of runs. The Knicks couldn’t hold a lead, as Brooklyn continually fought back within reach. But Jalen Brunson and Karl-Anthony Towns lived up to their star billing, making key plays in crunch time.
New York’s defensive intensity picked up, and hopefully, that will continue. Let’s explore the key performers from the double-header.
