New York Knicks beat the Charlotte Hornets 125-101: That’s more like it

Knicks make easy work of the Hornets this time in Precious' return.

The New York Knicks handled business, beating the Charlotte Hornets 125 to 101. The Hornets took an early lead, but New York quickly took control.

The first quarter was a scoring duel between Jalen Brunson and Brandon Miller. But once Miller cooled off, the Hornets didn’t have much to offer. Meanwhile, each of New York’s starters took over for portions of the action.

The Knicks dominated, making up for a sloppy performance last Friday. Let’s have a look at each key player.

Notable Performances

One star takes over each half

Jalen Brunson: 24 PTS (6/8 FG, 5/6 3PT, 7/8 FT), 5 AST, 1 REB, 1 STL, 1 TO in 27 mins

Believe it or not, this game initially felt like it might repeat last week’s nail-biter. But Jalen Brunson went ballistic in the first quarter to keep the Hornets from building confidence again. Brunson looked unstoppable, hitting three after three while beating players off the dribble when necessary.
