The New York Knicks came back from down 19 points, forced overtime, and defeated the Miami Heat 116-112.

New York started slow, stuck in an offensive stupor against the Heat’s healthy dose of zone defense. The Knicks’ defense looked equally lackluster, as Miami had a red carpet to hoop throughout en route to a 19-point first-half lead.

But Tom Thibodeau rallied the troops at halftime. New York’s defensive intensity increased, and Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby sparked the offense. The Knicks spent most of the half cutting Miami’s deficit and evened the score in time to force OT.

Brunson and Anunoby continued to key the team through overtime. Brunson made clutch baskets, OG got crucial stops, and the Knicks stole a victory. Let’s examine the performances more closely.
