The New York Knicks dominated the Miami Heat 116-95, turning in a defensive gem enhanced by an offensive explosion in the third quarter.
New York started slow, trailing 12-0 before getting on the scoreboard. Mikal Bridges made a run to spark things, and 15 consecutive points from Towns closed the gap in the second quarter, leaving New York within three points by halftime.
The rest of the team kicked into gear in the third quarter, as New York scored 41 points and put the game out of reach. The Knicks’ led by 20 or more the rest of the way.
