The New York Knicks needed overtime to take down the Philadelphia 76ers 125-119. They started strong, but another rough third quarter almost cost them. Luckily, they stepped up in overtime.
New York looked dominant in the first half, leaping to a 13-point lead thanks to excellent three-point shooting and defense. But the Sixers got hot in the third quarter, with Tyrese Maxey leading the way to a 38-point quarter. The Knicks couldn’t keep a lead but never trailed throughout the fourth quarter.
Philly double-teamed Jalen Brunson throughout the fourth, and the Knicks didn’t properly respond until overtime. But they picked Philly apart in the extra time and came away victorious.
Let’s look at the key performers.
