New York Knicks defeat Denver Nuggets, lose to Dallas Mavericks: Jekyll and Hyde Performances
The Knicks follow up a historic performance with another no-defense stinker.
Happy Thanksgiving from Knicks Fan TV!
The New York Knicks continued their trip out West with a dominant victory over the Denver Nuggets 145 to 118, followed by a disappointing loss to the Dallas Mavericks 129-114.
New York’s victory over the Nuggets was one of their best offensive performances as a team. They matched a franchise record with 45 assists and dominated from start to finish. OG Anunoby’s 40 points led the way, while seven players scored double-digits.
New York followed their historic offensive performance with a season-low scoring first half. The Knicks’ offense collapsed, and their defense failed to contain Dallas’ guards. The Mavericks held a comfortable lead throughout the game, hitting timely threes whenever the Knicks threatened to make a run.
These two games are a tale of two teams. New York played with a sense of urgency in Denver that faded by Dallas. They looked unstoppable against the Nuggets but barely put up a fight against the Mavs.
Let’s look at some individual performances from the pair of games.
