The Knicks again looked outclassed against an elite opponent, losing to the Boston Celtics 118-105. This felt like déjà vu, with the Knicks trailing early and mounting a comeback that fell short.

The Knicks started cold, and Boston turned every miss into a transition attack. New York barely established its half-court defense because the Celtics constantly ran. The Knicks finished the first half trailing by 21 points.

Things got interesting after halftime. Brunson and Towns combined for 29 points on 11 of 17 shooting in the third quarter. New York threatened to come back, but Brunson rested, and KAT appeared to hurt his knee. Boston ran away with the game after that, and the score was closer than this loss felt.

Let’s vent about the loss by examining the performances.
