In consecutive nights, the New York Knicks lost both sides of a back-to-back in LA against the Lakers and Clippers. They fell short in overtime against the Lakers and ran out of steam against the Clippers.

The Knicks lost to the Lakers in overtime 109-113, missing a golden opportunity to start the doubleheader on a high note. The Knicks played quality defense, and Jalen Brunson carried the team through crunch time. However, Lebron and Luka did enough to force overtime, and the Knicks fell short after Brunson left the game with an ankle injury.

Overtime took its toll on the Knicks’ legs a night later. Their three-point shooting lagged behind the Clippers’, helping LA take an early lead. New York’s defense and interior scoring kept them close, and they made a third-quarter push behind quality defense. But fatigue set in, their offense collapsed in the fourth, and they lost to the Clippers 105-95.

The pair of games was a tough pill to swallow, but it ended with some players heating up. Let’s take a deeper look.
