The New York Knicks fell apart in a loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, 121-111. The Knicks teased their offensive potential before fading and losing the game in uninspiring fashion.

The game was relatively even after one quarter, though the Knicks made strides by attacking the paint. They played their best basketball of the season in the second. The team moved the ball, found mismatches, and scored 45 in that second quarter, leaving with a 12-point lead.

But New York followed their best quarter with their least inspiring half. Giannis took over the third quarter, with help from a three-point barrage by AJ Green. The Knicks’ defense looked sloppy, and their effort wasn’t much better on offense. Jalen Brunson carried the offense until appearing to hurt himself in the fourth quarter, effectively ending New York’s chance at winning.

The recap might sound bleak, but there were promising moments, especially in the second quarter. Let’s look at the performances.
