The New York Knicks swept a doubleheader against the Houston Rockets and Toronto Raptors. They won a physical battle against the Rockets 124-118. Then, they nearly blew a big lead the next night in Toronto, winning 121-115.

The Rockets game was a lesson in frustration for three quarters. The Knicks struggled to keep the game close as Houston crushed them on the glass. But Jalen Brunson refused to let them lose.

It was Karl-Anthony Towns’ turn to take the starring role in the first half against Toronto. He led the Knicks to a commanding lead, but fatigue set in as Toronto closed the gap. Brunson was the closer again, with five consecutive points to finish the win.

The Knicks succeeded without OG Anunoby and with Ariel Hukporti getting a rotation role. Let’s discuss the victories through standout players.
