The New York Knicks traded blows with the Milwaukee Bucks and came out on top, winning 118-109. The win moves New York into the knockout rounds of the NBA Cup.

The Knicks’ poor three-point defense reared its ugly head again. New York started the night trailing thanks to a three-point onslaught from Milwaukee. Midway through the second quarter, the Bucks had made more threes than the Knicks had attempted. But New York kept pace by getting to the line, scoring in transition, and earning second-chance points.

New York’s approach wore Milwaukee down. They trailed by one heading into halftime, but quickly took a third-quarter lead. The teams traded runs from then on, but New York always kept an edge.

I haven’t singled out any players because the Knicks’ entire rotation made essential contributions. Different players took over various parts of the game. The one consistent contributor was Jalen Brunson, who continues to play at an All-NBA level.

Let’s have a look at the ways everyone contributed to the win.
